INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTS
We created a 45 second animation for Galfand Berger in Philadelphia, showing what happened to an operator whose order picker forklift backed into a crossbar, resulting in his death when the forklift went in too far and the horizontal crossbar crushed him.
In order to create this 3d animation we received an expert’s report on the chronology and mechanics of the accident, OSHA safety and autopsy report along with measurements of the warehouse scene and the particular manufacturer’s forklift truck.
We were then able to represent the distance traveled, size relationships between the operator, forklift truck, shop area and shelving units. All this needed to be considered in order to create a believable and engaging trial exhibit. We then made a “comp” or dry run animation showing movement and offered different perspectives to offer what views may be more advantageous for the attorney’s viewpoint.
